Checking Your Child Out Early (before 3:30) 

If you need to pick your child up early from school, you must show a valid photo identification to office personnel at the front office.  Only parents/guardians and those persons listed on the emergency contact pick-up list may check out your child.  The office will call down to the classroom for the child to meet the parent in the office.  Under no circumstances are teachers allowed to dismiss a child from class unless called by the office for check out.

Student Arrival And Dismissal Procedures

School doors open at 8:00 a.m. (Wednesday- 8:40 am), breakfast will be served from 8:00- 8:20 am (8:40-9:00 am on Wednesdays), and class instruction will begin at 8:30 a.m. (Wednesday- 9:00 am).DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE TO THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING DURING STUDENT DROP-OFF OR PICK-UP TIMES. This area is for buses only. All students enter the building through the front entrance by the office. For the safety of children walking we ask parents to drop students off in the circle drive located in the rearof the building (near the playground) after 8:00 a.m. (Wednesday- 8:40 a.m.). Students should walk down the sidewalk to the front of the building. No parking is allowed in the circle drive and there is no traffic access to the front of the building from 7:45 a.m. to 8:35 a.m. except school personnel and school district vehicles.Parents who wish to accompany their students into the building should park in the parent/visitor parking lot located next to the circle drive in the rear of the building and walk down the sidewalk to enter the front entrance. Because we want to make good use of ALL instructional time, parents are asked to exit the building before school is scheduled to begin unless prior arrangements have been made in the office.

Students will be dismissed at the end of the school day as follows:

3:25 –  Dismissal of Car Riders. Students being picked up by parents in a vehicle. Parents can either drive through the circle drive and have students loaded into their car or can park and meet their child by the fence. If parking, parents should park in the parent/visitor lot or use the circle drive adjacent to the playground for pick-up. No parking is allowed in the circle drive and there is no traffic access to the front of the building from 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm except school personnel and school district vehicles. Students will exit the building through the playground door and will be dismissed through the first 2 access gates on the playground.

To help expedite the student drop-off/pick-up procedures, parents will pull their cars up to the farthest drop-off/pick-up point (by the orange cones) so as many cars as possible can load/unload at one time.

3:27 – Dismissal of bus riders. Teachers will walk bus riders to their bus. Students will exit the building through the front door and board the bus in front of the building when bus groups are ready.

3:29 – Dismissal of walkers. Kindergarten - 2nd grade students will exit through the North hallway end doors. 3rd - 5th grade students will exit through the South hallway to walk home. Parents can only enter the building from the front door.  If students are walking with siblings or other friends, please have them meet their “walking buddies” at the flagpole before starting home.

We ask that students have ONE (1) permanent form of transportation to their after school destination. If there is any change in that student’s transportation, please notify the school office in writing as early as possible. If there is a family emergency, and transportation needs to be changed please come to the office in person to make the change. All transportation changes need to be made before 3:00 p.m. so the student and teacher can be notified of the changes.
