EARLY REGISTRATION:
Selective Service accepts early registrations as young as 17 years and 3 months.
If you should register early, Selective Service will hold your information until 30 days before your 18th birthday. At that time, we will process your registration and you will receive a registration acknowledgment card in the mail to confirm your Selective Service registration and for you to check that all your information listed is correct.

Other Ways to Change Your Address
Complete and mail back the Selective Service Change of Information Form, which is the tear- off "Change of Information" form every man receives in the mail with his registration acknowledgment card, shortly after he registers.
Obtain, complete, and mail back a Selective Service Change of Address Form 2, SSS Form 2, available at any U.S. Post Office.
Call toll-free at 1-888-655-1825 between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time, and remain on the line to speak with a representative.

Selective Service number immediately. That number is your proof of registration - for safekeeping, jot it down. You will receive a Selective Service card by mail within 2 weeks confirming that number. (Note: If you registered by mail, you will receive a card confirming your registration within 60-90 days.)
