Communications and Marketing Mission

To strengthen relationships with stakeholders and build support for the Waynesville R-VI School District and its schools.  

Focus

The Communications and Marketing Department will focus on providing strategic, timely, transparent and accurate information tailored to meet the needs of key stakeholders. Our goal is to provide efficient, customer-oriented service, which supports student achievement and enhances a positive culture with both internal and external stakeholders.

Email Newsletters:
Be on the lookout for our monthly Parent Paws newsletters keeping families informed. We also send a weekly email newsletter specifically for staff called Tiger Tales.

Print:
Our Back to School Guide starts off each school year and is shared at community events and through each main office offering a variety of important district information for parents. Our athletic guides release each season showcasing each individual sport and their rosters. The district prints and mails a quarterly newsletter called I in the Tiger showcasing student achievements, upcoming events, important community notices and more.

Mass Communications:
For District families, we utilize communication tools within our student information system to send mass notifications including emails, phone calls and Remind messages. If you are not receiving these communications and believe you should be, please contact your student's school office to update your contact information.

Communications and Marketing Director

Marianne Ward

I have served as the director of communications and marketing for the Waynesville R-VI School District since 2012. In this role, I promote the district through internal and external strategic communication and marketing. Prior to my role at the district, I served as the director of alumni and constituent relations at Missouri S&T. I earned a bachelor’s in communication from Truman State University and a master’s degree in Communication from the University of Central Missouri. I serve as treasurer of the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce and am a member of the Rotary Club of Pulaski County, where I served as president in 2016.  I enjoy gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with my husband Steve and our daughter Jessica.

Communications Specialist

Catherine Poole

I have served as a communications specialist for the Waynesville R-VI School District since 2021. I have a passion for leveraging the power of digital media to enhance communication and outreach efforts. Through a variety of multimedia channels, such as videos, photos and interactive content, I work to engage the community, highlight educational achievements, and promote the district’s programs by crafting compelling content and implementing strategic social media initiatives. I earned a bachelor's in Multimedia Production and Journalism from Drury University.
